Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Digital Design Engineer with a strong background in Verilog, FPGA design, microcontrollers, and PCB debugging. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both digital design and verification, as well as proficiency in various related tools and technologies. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, verify, and validate high-performance systems. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement digital systems using Verilog, ensuring high-quality code for FPGA and microcontroller applications.

• Conduct verification using Verilog simulators to ensure the accuracy and reliability of digital designs.

• Write assembly code for microcontrollers, specifically HC08, 8051, or similar architectures, for embedded systems applications.

• Design, prototype, and debug PCBs for embedded systems, integrating microcontrollers.

• Develop and optimize FPGA-based designs for performance and functionality.

• Working in a modern Windows environment

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in digital design using Verilog.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.

• Strong experience in digital verification using Verilog simulators.

• Proficiency with microcontrollers, specifically HC08, 8051, or similar, and experience in writing assembly code for these microcontrollers.

• Hands-on experience in PCB design and debugging.

• Experience with Synopsys and Prime-time - creating synthesis scripts and timing scripts

• Experience in FPGA design and development.

• Comfortable working in a modern Windows environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of state machines and their application in design.

• Experience in Pre-Si validation, including creating test plans, test benches, and test cases. Ability to review and debug test results and write assertions to prevent illegal states.

• Experience with Post-Si characterization and debugging, including writing tests, conducting experiments, and analyzing results.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) to automate design, validation, and testing tasks.

• Understanding of digital and analog circuit design, including the use of Spice netlists and simulation.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.

• Excellent documentation skills, ensuring clear and concise reporting on logic design, verification, and testing.
